Turnout has been high locally, according to the polling station staff – they were cooking up eggs benedict with mushrooms and sourdough bread – as they said, long day might as well make a meal of it.
Not sure they included the Border Collie pup as turnout, but she did a good job of checking the ballot lists and whatever else was on the desk.

Because of his age I did not trust him in the polling station yesterday and made him stay outside. I don’t think he’s a Tory after all he’s heard, but you never know
