George Osborne seems to have that sort of turn of the last century face. Private Eye’s cover of a the coalition as ‘Downturn Abbey’ is just as brilliant. Osborne as Edwardian Lady made me laugh aloud.
Perhaps this is the real rationale behind his attempts to take us back to pre-war Britain … it certainly isn’t economics.
