Barbados: Just don't call us a tax haven.
Barbados says we must not call it a tax haven.
OK: I'll call it a secrecy jurisdiction instead.
Because quite emphatically it is.
Which is how it facilitates tax abuse.

And what exactly is this tax abuse you are referring to?
I suggest you have a closer look at their DTAs and amending protocols and in particular the Exchange of Information clauses.
@JayPee
Go on then
Tell me exactly how much data has ever been supplied and to which countries?
And what happens when there is no DTA or TIEA
What then?
How is secrecy overcome in that case?
Barbados has over 15 DTAs, has a domestic tax rate of 25% (excluding businesses operating under their IBFSC regime, was placed on the OECD White List around 2003 and certainly doesn’t feature on the radar of those companies peddling tax haven schemes.
As for the data issue, how many requests have been made? Interesting to see that Barbados has recently amended it’s treaty with China to include the current OECD standard on EOI.
Not really sure that it meets the accepted criteria of tax haven.
