I wrote a blog on why we might have a crash on Saturday. This is an infographic James produced based on it.
He and our intern, Sam, had read the comment this morning about a lack of graphics in my latest attempts.
Thoughts? Handwritten style has been dropped here for clarity.

Hard to argue with this to be honest – very effective.
Linkages. A.I. depends on data centres and the high performance processors that provide the erm.. processing power. The production of processors depend on inputs such as… helium (blocked by the US attack on Iran). Many most of the high end processors are made in Taiwan, China is testing a blockage – right now. Lots of data centres in Ireland (25% of elec to data centres) – what happens if there is a hard winter? keeping people warm or data centres going? (do data centres vote in elections?) On and on it goes.High levels of fragility built into what passes for “western civilisation” (“good in theory”). A.I. stock is overvalued – that on its own is unlikely to cause a crash. My money is on China – Taiwan – as tRUMP throws F-35s & F-16s at winning against Iran, just means less available elsewhere. etc etc.
Hi, Robert Reich has posted a strong warning on his Substack blog today:

The view from someone closely watching the AI bubble from inside the USA…
I agree with him. I have already recorded a video on the topic.
