These were the notes I used to prepare for this morning's video. Usually I do not share these. Today, I thought it was worth doing so. Mark him against them in 2029.
The hook

- But what will he do?
- In truth, we have no more idea about his agenda than we did about Keir Starmer's

Mostly quite unremarkable stuff.
Act like a human being with empathy – or not?
Act in the interests of the UK in terms of middle east policy – or not?
I’m fair minded so I’ assume he will be like Starmer but with a smiley face and a revamped PR machine.
Burnt-ham – just like all the previous ones, Tory or LINO, they are all the same. There needs to be a clear out.
LINO delenda est.
Unremarkable, but do not expect any of it to happen.
Do not even expect him to have answers.
That is what worries me.
Burnham will shortly have to face the consequences of the Trump War and resulting Trump Great Depression.
The UK seems utterly unprepared.
I expect Burnham will stick with the austerity line and we can’t afford to do anything.
Neoliberalism, repression and genocide are still neoliberalism, repression and genocide, even if supported with flatter vowels.
Agreed
If the phrase hadn’t lost all credibility I would dearly love to say: “Richard Murphy, I salute your indefatigability!”
Thank you
I am trying…
