I have been saying to my (poor) wife, that this is the most dangerous government we have had in my lifetime. She agrees.
Meanwhile, fair minded Tory MPs (yes, there are some) remain supine.
Watched Johnson at PMQs today. Quite disturbing. He called China a HOSTILE state. Pretty stupid to raise tensions with the world’s economic powerhouse when a catastrophic slump is heading our way. The effective way to deal with China is by joint international action through the UN. The West are hardly paragons of virtue re human rights. Ask the young black population in USA.
Johnson also denied the existence of the border between England and Scotland. He’ll soon find out if English tourists try to decamp to Scotland.
‘English tourists’ or ‘tourists from England’? Quite a difference.
You are quite correct. Thank you for pointing out my sloppiness. I should have said tourists from anywhere.
I don’t tweet, but as a followup to “Modern monetary theory does not say there is anything like a free lunch. What it says is that there is no lunch at all unless we put people to work to make it.”
MMT also says that we can afford whatever is available for lunch (including the cook to make it – if I understand it correctly).
