OK, this is US data, but the message is much the same here, and that's the reason why we need a wealth tax in this country. We cannot afford the social inequality, the inequality of access and the stress in society that wealth inequality causes:

Wealth is radically under taxed
The only effective wealth tax is a tax on landed property because it can’t be moved.
I agree wholeheartedly. In fact, I’d go further and say it is the only effective tax, full stop.
If you want to stop tax avoidance and evasion, the best way is to build it into the system, by levying tax on those things which can’t be moved, hidden or disguised.
Inheritance tax combined with tax on gifts!
