If you really think offshore is used for entirely legitimate reasons just read this web site.

Of course someone could do these things from the UK. After all, the whole essence of offshore is secrecy. But if they did there would be massive amounts of tax to pay. There's no mention of that on the page though.

I wonder why not?

I hope it's not because the user is just meant to "use [their] imagination and [they'll] soon see the benefits"? That, in itself, being necessary because the web site operators can't "openly condone" anyone breaking the law?

Or is that hope just wishful thinking on my part?

And is it in practice the case that such "benefits" are still much more common than most offshore operators like to claim?
