The Tax Justice Network has long listed Israel as a tax haven - but most ignored the claim.
Now the Sovereign Society is going out of its way to promote Israel as a tax haven.
On this occasion we seem to be in agreement. And I don't say that very often.

Israel is fighting for its survival. It faces short-term existential threats from the political meltdown of its Arab neighbors and from Iran’s nuclear program. It also faces a longer-term threat that with Jewish immigration tailing off and with Arab-Israeli birth rates remaining significatnly higher than among Jews, Arab-Israeli population will overcome Jewish Israelis within the next couple of decades.
One of the problem in attracting additional Jewish immigration is that Israel is now perceived as an expensive immigration destination; Many of the world’s large Jewish colonies (Russia, Argentina, France, even the US) cannot affortd the move. The implementation of a favorable tax regime for imigrants is simply a wat of making immigration more affordable, which is essential for the long-term survival of the nation.
Like many on your side of the political spectrum, you are only seizing on these policies to rationalize your dislike (or even hatred) of Israel (and of the Jews). It is wrong.

This is ridiculous – and absolutely wrong. It is ludicrous to say I’m anti-semitic. A co-author of my tax haven book is Jewish! And candidly – it simply does not matter to me. I sincerely hope I treat all people equally.

You are using the typical right wing slurs when the facts are too much to accept. Mr. Murphy supplied facts and because he did so you smeared him with the ‘anti-semitic’ rant. That tired old tactic no longer works. Intelligent people can recognize and separate Jewish people from their right wing leaders in the Tax haven of Israel. I sure hope people do not judge Americans because of our out of whack, imperialist and growing fascist-like government. The two are never the same.
