why would you want to suggest that all such arrangements are abusing the tax system? I know you prefer a different legal arrangement, but there is nothing intrinsically either illegal or abusive about an individual choosing to sell services through a company.

One really can’t place enough emphasis on the benefits of setting up on your own. A whole new world of allowances and deductions open up for anyone enterprising enough to choose this tact.
What is confusing is why more firms do not place contracts for services in this manner. No need to worry about the effects of employer-side taxation or labour laws for non-performers.

You see, people will always run rings round a tax system based on the taxation of individuals and companies. Only radical reform will work.
Come on Richard, let’s hear you speak for the one form of tax that is proof against all this nonsense and that does what you so obviously expect a tax system to do! It is just that you are worried you would promptly get dismissed as a single-issue crank?
