The following is from Simon Hoggart's Parliamentary sketch in the Guardian, 8 June

Mr Blair is not a liar but he is heavily into truth avoidance. This, as the Hutton report reminds us, is permitted."
I have to say that the same could be said for pronouncements from much of the finance industry.
Could you please remind me of the statement made by a famous judge many years ago to the effect that everyone has the right to arrange his affairs in the most effective way to reduce his tax liability. Thanks ❓
