A thought occurred to me this afternoon.
Someone asked me how I was. It was someone I know, so the enquiry was a bit more than the usual polite exchange.
And it occurred to me that for the second day running I am feeling OK. Even, back to normal.
I have energy again. My body is functioning in a way that I recognise, and which I last experienced in mid-June. There is no discomfort.
Perhaps that scan late last week revealed something that I was not aware of at the time, which is that my kidney stone had departed, or was departing.
If so, I am very pleased, because this is not an episode that I would like to repeat in a hurry.

Good!
Hurrah!
🙂
That could be the case. As I have said before I suffered from one a long time ago and it also apparently just disappeared
So glad you are feeling better. It’s so frightfully painful.
Thanks
Great, hope you keep up the recovery.
That’s great news.
Of course, you could continue as if you were constrained by the “kidney stone” analogy, continue with the opiates and their side-effects, have regular ultrasound blasts and the pain they cause, and choose unnecessarily to lead a severely restricted life for years.
That’s what our neoliberal “household analogy: Chancellors do. And we are all (except the rich) harmed by that. Crazy isn’t it?
Once again, glad to hear the good news. May it continue.
I am going to give medics and their prescriptions a wide bertha if I can, for as long as possible.
Just as hoped for Richard – they couldn’t find anything because it was being dealt with by your own body.<p>
Onward and upward!.
Hopefully gone forever. My son suffered one twenty five years ago, but has had no trouble since.
I am hoipeful!
