This is an admin to all existing subscribers to the Tax Research UK email list.
The software used for the existing email listing is ceasing to operate from the end of June this year. This is entirely beyond my control, but does mean that those who get this blog from that list will no longer do so.
As far as I know I have no access to the details of those on that mail list. I am told the total number on it, and nothing more, and I am entirely happy with that.
However, this means that you will need to resubscribe to the new email list that is now in use for this blog. The box for that is at the top right of this page. It looks like this:
It really is pretty simple to do. And the result is a much cleaner mail system without adverts. The new mails look like this:
You will see that the option to unsubscribe is available at any time.
I will still not look at the list and will never use or share your email for any purpose. All you will get are summaries of blog posts here. That is it.
Thanks if you decide to resubscribe. I hope that you do.
Thanks for reading this post.

Will the rss feed change too?
The RSS feed does not change
But the way of accessing it does
Or if you’re reading the blog on a smartphone the new link might appear at the foot of the page.
Sorry…
1. It appears that instead of receiving the text of your posts, as now, I will have the serious inconvenience (and it is serious for the way I work) of having to go to the web site in order to read the content. Please can this be changed so I can read the whole of each article, as now, in plain text in my email client?
2. When, after signing up, I tried to set preferences (I don’t know what choices are available), the system instead sent me an email link with what it said was a short (but unspecified) expiry time. Since I download a batch of emails one every 24 hours (approximately), I hope the expiry time is longer than that, or I will have no way of using it.
I do very much appreciate reading your material and hope to continue doing so for a long time.
Hi
At reasonable cost the old system cannot be reproduced
I admit I am not sure what the problem with clicking the link is
But I regret this is the best solution I / we could find
Unable to locate the button for your new subscription site….
On a browser it will always be just below the picture of me
I don’t subscribe because I know where it is and long may that remains so.
🙂
