Now that Nick was very funny indeed.
Voters will forgive many things (lies and incompetence) but they will not forgive being made to look foolish….. and Cummings and Johnson have made them look just that – foolish. Foolish for accepting the hardship of “lock down” when it is now apparent that they did not have to.
In the centuries since, the word ‘mumpsimus’ has contracted and ‘man’ is now the common usage.
