In the November 2013 Taxcast from the Tax Justice Network: the movers and the shakers in the 2013 Financial Secrecy Index, the pariah states trying to wreck new global transparency measures, and it's 50 years ago this month that US President John F Kennedy was assassinated. Did you know that he was trying to tackle tax havens too?

Wow! A completely eye-opening podcast on tax havens, I certainly be sharing this! 🙂
Wasn’t he flirting with the idea of debt-free money too?
@ Stevo!
I believe he had issued an Executive Order permitting the Federal Reserve or Bank of America to issue its own debt-free money, on the lines of Abraham lincoln’s Civil War “greenbacks”.
Both assassinated! Co-incidence? You decide, but Oswald (who surely DID fire on Kennedy) always did say he was a patsy.

Are you going to do something on the truly horrific allegations around RBS ?
From way back in the C19th there were Villains in East London that extorted gelt from small businesses. In the 1950s the Kray Twins really ‘industrialised’ that process, extorting money with menaces from thousands of small businesses right across E London.
BUT, the Krays had the sense &, perhaps the decency, to only take what a business could afford.
Then you had RBS.
So, that’s what bankers give us. The same morality as Ronnie & Reggie but much less commercial intellect.
