Yesterday afternoon, Channel 4 put out an interview I took part in with Krishnan Guru-Murthy on Thursday, along with economist Vicky Pryce. The whole podcast did, however, focus upon my opinions, with, as Krishnan Guru-Murthy put it, Vicky being invited along to, in his words, describe me as bonkers, which she did not do.

I was pleased to get this opportunity.

This morning, another such opportunity has arisen. I will be on Sunday Morning Live on BBC One at 10:30 this morning, discussing business ethics in the light of an emerging cost-of-living crisis, and maybe something worse. I hope that will justify the quite early start that this has required, although the clock change has certainly helped the process of getting around train cancellations.

Then, on Wednesday lunchtime, I will be on the Jeremy Vine Show on BBC Radio 2, discussing the budget at around 1:30 pm.

Coupled with other demands this weekend, I have had very little time to think about relaxation. The deadline to submit the manuscript for my book is at the end of this week, and whilst I now have a working draft of the whole thing, I am not happy with two chapters, so they are still being edited. Then I will have a pile of infographics to create, because this book includes its own special version of them.

Even I am beginning to think that I might be pushing myself towards my limits at present. I will need to find a good coffee when I get to King's Cross this morning.
