I really enjoyed attending this festival this year. So, I thought I would give next year's an early plug.
Right now, I am not speaking, but that is being discussed:

Thank you, Richard.
That’s a fantastic line up. One hopes and prays you speak, too.
By then, the French presidential campaign will be in full swing. This community will be delighted to hear that ideas espoused by Richard, Warren Mosler and Dirk Ehnts are being aired by Melenchon, his LFI leadership and a former head of Lazard France, Matthieu Pigasse. On some of the Sunday shows, some Gaullists espoused.
Interesting…
Thank you, Richard.
The French left and Gaullists are a combative bunch. They aren’t Corbyn and MacDonnell.
The Bank of France put out a statement about reliance on and credibility with bond markets and ECB primacy. Pigasse and Manuel Bompard, Melenchon’s main consigliere, immediately hit back. I wish the British left could do that.
A young economist, Anne-Sophie Alsif, is returning to the air waves and supporting this fresh approach.
All good news
At my age I don’t plan too far ahead, but hopefully, living in Central Scotland, I can be there as I’m sure many interesting topics will be aired, increasing my knowledge. And hopefully hear you speak.
I had a ticket to attend your session this year – unfortunately due to a family funeral I was unable to attend. Hopefully I will have better luck in 2027. Would be terrific if you were able to speak again next year.
Let’s see
Richard, thanks so much for mentioning the festival next year. We had such a great chat last year, and we’re sure we can get you involved next year! Catch up soon.
🙂
It would be great if you could talk at the festival but I appreciate the demand on your time. That is obvious having read your article in today’s National. Excellent as usual. I’ve been following the news you are part of the Common Weal panel. Significantly your article is printed immediately before Robin McAlpine’s debunking AI data centres and the economics of foreign direct pillage (sorry – should that be “investment”). Scotland needs this economic commentary desperately. Robin can be an irascible bandit but he has good ideas and if a collective consideration can give them a foundation then that is nothing but good. It would do the SNP good to listen. They are devoid of inspiration just now. It is said the 2014 referendum left the unionists running scared because they almost lost. In my view 12 years of history has shown it left the SNP scared because the almost won! They have been running to the hills since. I doubt they will have an observer at the economics festival. They really need one.
Thank you
And much to agree with
I was lucky enough to see you and others at last year’s festival, this year I won’t be so shy to come and say hello
Do!
