Home time

A very productive week has ended.

Thomas was on holiday. So was I. We were in Blakeney in Norfolk. And yes, I wrote for at least seven hours every day, but that is what I do, even on holiday, and I cannot imagine doing otherwise.

I thank the friendly crew at the Two Magpies Cafe for hosting my writing every morning (and now).

A book is now in progress and was not at the start of the week. Two publishers are very keen. Three chapters of it are in draft. Some infographics for it are prepared.

The materials for the event in Ely are also nearly ready.

A couple of ideas - inclduing on the economics of attention - are in development.

This morning's post on accounting with labour as the residual is the sort of thing that happens when I take an idea for a walk with Jacqueline.

And we did a lot of walking and birdwatching, which was very rewarding. Migration is under way.

Last night, we watched the sunset over the Norfolk coast - this being one of the few locations in the UK where you can watch both sunrise and sunset over the sea from the same place.

The tide was high, submerging the path by the little harbour, which is why the cleats are underwater. The sun is already over the horizon, but still bouncing off the night sky. The outline of a few distant boats can just be seen. The pink-footed geese (and they are just back for the winter) would all have been back at their roost in Holkham by then.

And now it is time to go back home and plan some videos.
