I mentioned our event in Ely on 3 October, and the fact that we are going ahead with it here a couple of days ago, and a number of things have happened since then.
Firstly, at least a quarter of the available tickets have now been sold. This is before we put any notice about it on YouTube, which we plan to do at the weekend. Since it is likely that the reaction on there will be larger than here, based on our prior market research, if you do want to attend, might you please let me know very soon using the contact information in the previous post?
Secondly, thanks to the generosity of a supporter who is a reader of this blog, we now have two free tickets to offer. They will be available to those who would not be able to attend without this assistance. I'm grateful to the donor for making this possible. If you would like to claim one of these tickets, and most especially if you are a student or an unwaged young person, please do let me know, stating briefly (a sentence or two at most will do) why you think you qualify.
Thirdly, the team here reminded me that I had not mentioned that we had previously agreed to offer a number of discounted places. There are about six of these that might be available. The discount price will be £30. These are available to those who would not otherwise be able to attend and can be applied for. Again, I am not proposing a means-testing process, so please ask and let me know briefly why you might need one of these. If they're still available, I will see what we can do.
