I beg to differ.

If this does not say that markets are waking up to the reality of what I have been saying, I am not sure what does. That uptick is not stopping right now, especially with safe passage through the Red Sea now also being in doubt.
The cost of Trump's fascist war - apart from that to all those who have died and been injured, displaced or lost loved ones on all sides - is going to be enormous, and might now last for years.
I would have thought that the world would have realised by now how expensive fascists are, wherever they seek to grab power, including here in the UK. It seems that might not be true, as yet. But I think the realisation will dawn sometime soon.
The problem is, where do people go then?
Where is the party with the credible alternative political and economic narrative?

Where is the party with the credible alternative political and economic narrative?
As Mike Parr say, we need 600 newbies.
Starting with one person per constituency who is already known for getting stuff done (and maybe has an MBE..)
Leavened with a sprinkling of political comedians eg Count BinFace.
Lightly held together with the common agenda of the Politics of Care.
But above all we need a brand new, shiny, sparkling MMT-literate Chancellor-of-the-Exchequer-in-waiting to lead the way…

I read an article not long ago implying that A.I can now hack quicker and more efficiently than humans. With all these rival systems in development, has anyone considered what will happen when these systems start attacking each other?

It’s a fatalistic view but I think Count Binface and his equivalents in other countries are those alternatives….. At least they do stand for TIARA.
I was pondering this earlier, how your predictions were tracking after another month of no strait of hummus. It seems that it’s a giant case of head in sand, no one appears to be concerned by it and when googling there seems to be very little being said, it’s eerily silent and that in itself is concerning

The Green Party is imperfect but it does nevertheless have a leadership team and a good chunk of its membership wanting something different and better. Zack Polanski’s priority is to create a better world and make finance serve the real economy; I will bet anything you like he rejects the neoliberal household analogy

I hope you are correct. Polanski had a piece in The i newspaper 24 July – ‘Andy Burnham’s tinkering won’t transform Britain’. Subheadline: ‘The lead singer has changed, but it’s all the same songs’ It looks as if, like Richard, he wants a better song to sing.
I’m hoping it’s the greens ? I see them as the only chance, at the moment. Politics is a vicious game making it especially hard with the prevailing media and established narratives set up to twist everyone’s thinking.

My view is that party resides within the people at the moment, and not in politics itself so it is worth continuing to ask questions and challenge orthodoxies.
In Scotland, the Greens may have to be the tail that wags the SNP dog. Entirely too many senior figures in the party have become very comfortable with neoliberalism despite the party being nominally social democratic.
I suspect we may have to counter whatever MAGA throw at us (via the US State Department to various bodies like Heartland Institute and social media) as well as anyone funded by Musk/Thiel/Ellison (eg any Blair Institute or Blairites). There are too many of the latter in the Cabinet. Out here in the W Mids, Reform are trying constantly to shut down opposition of any kind, by fair means or skullduggery. We are still teetering on the precipice.
