The question is, how do you tell the world you are a fascist without saying that you are a fascist?
It would seem that Donald Trump has found the answer. You plan to build a triumphal arch, 250 feet high, to celebrate your fascism.
What else is this about?

No doubt Trump would use it as the backdrop to large scale rallies and marches like Mussolini used the Vittoriano in Rome.
Interesting by comparison to read that Charles De Gaulle never drew his Presidential Salary living instead on his Army pension & that Mme De Gaulle paid the French Treasury each month for everything they had been provided with by the state.
They were also devoted to their daughter Anne who had Downs Syndrome and who lived with them through her life.
Not I see a model Trump has chosen to follow
Not enough money for social programmes, but always enough for self regarding bling – that’s fascism.
Err…it’s not big enough to house the man’s ego, Arc de Trump needs to be tripled in size, at least for a comfortable fit.
Loved this comment by Andrew Tickell in The National newspaper:
“Jesus threw the moneylenders out of the temple. Trump seems more likely to buy the temple at a knockdown price from its creditors using a holding company, falsifying the true value of the property in his mortgage application to the moneylenders, before daubing the whole thing in gold, imitation marble, and renaming the temple after himself, just in case anyone forgot he existed.”
Spot on
US Commission of Fine Arts?!
Is there a T missing from that final word? Or are the I, N and E superfluous?!
I note the 250 feet height, one per year of the anniversary; but also, again amused, note the US use of (British) Imperial measurements.
