Thomas edits photos better than I do. This is one of his from Welney this morning. Three mallards in flight. He took a burst of 20 shots to get this.

Great photo on a sunny day.
They seem to be veering sharply to the right in reaction to whichever way the wind is blowing.
Maybe they should form a political party – I am sure they will be good at feathering their own beds.

thank you Thomas – again brought back memories – Mallard on the Norfolk Broads, along with Great Crested Grebe and their wonderful courtship ritual, herons, bittern et al – but – a plea – please send some blue skies and sunshine up to the Peak District – I needed water wings to get to and from the Opera House this evening! = next we will have a hosepipe ban —

Somehow reminiscent of all the RAF Typhoons flying around here a lot lately. But nature does it much better. I prefer the ducks. Great shot!
