The team here had another meeting this morning and reviewed all the feedback (including a few not even through moderation as yet due to the pressure of time), we have had on the suggested retitling of our ideas.
We noted that Politics for People is generally working for most commentators. We discussed the exceptions, but decided to stick with this term.
We also noted and heard loud and clear the kickback on the political economy of care as a subtitle. We agreed that we needed to change that. It is too academic and unclear.
We discussed the proposed alternatives, but I then raised the possibility that we might already have the required terminology. It is 'Politics for People: Funding the Future'.
The team instantly liked this. I rarely win an argument so easily.

Funding a Caring Future
Care does not work on social media. That’s why we had to make these changes.
I had a couple of thoughts yesterday – which may not be of any use but, since we are still discussing I thought I’d throw them in the ring.
I like Politics for People, with one small caveat, as my mind answered who else would it be for? Cats? Dogs? …. (sorry, my brain can be snarky like that) … brain also wants to keep adding ‘the’ between ‘for’ and ‘people’ (but maybe because I too am old enough to remember Citizen Smith and power to the people!)
Would People-Focused Politics make the point that this is politics with people at the heart (rather than big business, self interest etc..) – still 3 words, and still PfP – I did also wonder about People-Centred Politics, but with an acronym of PcP maybe not 🙂

I like it.
Funding = serious and practical, not pie-in-the-sky. Future – not talked about enough in politics, but it is what we worry about when we can spare any worry from the present.
And as noted by another, alliteration. A little alliteration goes a long way, rolls off the tongue. Maybe you’ve found the lost consonance…
It means talking about hypotheticals which politicians always say they can’t do.
You are correct in decoding how search engines actually work and making that work for you. It is what it is. No harm done.

I think for readers Funding the Future has been great, for wider appeal I am not sure what meaning people will attach to “Future”, could be misinterpreted as “not now folks but jam tomorrow”. What are we funding …… a sustainable society. a caring society. Including funding is important as it does imply how we run the economy. Maybe “Funding Society”
