Nice.
And thank you Richard for publishing this.
Excellent.
Thanks. I originally posted it on Facebbok in the week before that dreadful result 3 years ago – and I am not a little shocked to see how horribly it came to fit where we are now. (And I don’t know how to post a rueful grin emoticon on a blog!)
I have brewed a cherry beer for a friend in the Uk that is turning 70. He is a beer lover – whether he loves this beer is moot. The picture of Johnson as a clown has been circulating – I have indicated where it will appear.
All Our Souls
(picture of Johnson as a clown)
A Beer for the Discerning
To
Drown their sorrows
In “All Our Souls” Land
Alc Content: unknown – try on cat first if in doubt
Note: “try on cat” has several meanings 🙂
Back of bottle:
All Our Souls
Natural & Healthy
This beer was brewed in Belgium using only natural ingredients such as chemicals & stuff which as any fule know are natural. This beer will help you. Drink one & you will feel happy, Drink two & you will wonder what day it is. Drink three & you will wonder who you are. Drink four and look in the mirror you may well see the image on the bottle. Don’t forget: don’t drink too much! drink three much! you know it makes sense in “All Our Souls Land”.
Any images on this bottle bear no relationship to future prime mincers &/or clowns.
‘Prime Mincer’
I LOVE it.
Yep – mincing about. Spot on – especially for Boris.
The European Commission
A Budget sits down to make.
What shall we spend these funds on
From members taxes that we take?
Let’s prioritise the rich, we say
The landowners, the largest if poss
And give them our biggest funds
And hope the public don’t give a toss.
Let’s protect them from foreign
Have tariffs and some quota
Stuff the European customer
They don’t care one iota
Let’s have some regulation too
Yes, one for each and every member
Let’s stop people being productive
We’ve centralised that too.
The real problem with that is that it is hopelessly factually inaccurate
The Commission does not tax for a start
You need to get the most basic facts right
I agree – but the prose ain’t that good either.
Change the “European Commission” to Tory Cabinet and it’s not so far off!
Yes!
The member States do the taxing – it’s right there in the opening stanza
The Commission sorts the spending – through your claim is driven a panzer.
I am sorry – but this is still completely wrong
Bugets are always set by country
You are writing pure nonsense
