The Tories tried to remove Theresa May as their leader yesterday.
Many of them loathe her.
It is a universally known truth that she is a liability to the country.
But they could not agree on what to do.
As a metaphor for the paralysis in modern politics that is as good as it gets. Even the obviously necessary cannot be done now.
We are at a mighty low point in our political history.

I get the irony, but the fact of the matter is that democracy doesn’t really come in to it does it? This is a Tory party internal dispute. Has bugger all to do with anything else. We have an entirely dysfunctional government ……

China is already building our nuclear power station here in Mumerset we are told…now they are going to be involved in building the 5G network because Mrs May says its cool.
But this is nothing, we have Trump visiting soon to start the talks for the US/UK trade deal. The US ambassador has told us that this will be “difficult” if we are still in a customs deal with the EU. Elsewhere the US have told us that our high food standards are a problem.
The US also wants as part of the deal “comprehensive market access” for its farmers’ products, so we’ll get to see much more US-made food on our supermarket shelves, only the chicken will be chlorinated, the beef soaked in steroids. Then we’ll have to weaken all those apparently restrictive laws surrounding employment and protecting the environment.
This is why the ERG and the extreme insane rightists want the UK to leave the EU with a hard brexit and have no customs union then deal with the US, because there’ll be no EU protective legislation to save us. Fortunately for them and unfortunately for us they have a media obsessed with Farage and his no policies Brexit party and they have lots of useful idiots who’s racism and stupidity is being exploited. you could not invent this or make it up
