I have to admit to making a mistake. We all do from time to time. The accounts of Tax Research LLP will appear to have been submitted late to Companies House this year.
They were not, of course. They were in on time. But this morning they came back because of a single typing mistake in the date in the heading of a comparative column referring to data voluntarily disclosed by me. And that means that after amendment they will be late, which is the first time in my career that I have ever done such a thing.
Mea culpa. Let him or her who has never made a mistake cast the first stone.
For the record, the accounts are here.
I can't help but say that Companies House might more gainfully pursue the hundreds of thousands of companies who never file accounts each year.

Maybe it’s time that you got an assistant?
I’ve not had one of them for 19 years…..
I have never made a mistake – as these three extremely large and easy to rouse to violence chaps standing behind me will attest.
🙂
Welcome to the human race!
Just kidding!
No chance of that…. 🙂
I’m quite surprised companies house picked that up! Do they have more than 6 people looking now?
I was surprised to
I also thought it absurd that I will be penalised for voluntary disclosure
No good deed goes unpunished.
Well, there is no escaping the ‘naughty step’.
To err is human, and to punish is the delight of the petty bureaucrat. Often it is the only satisfaction they have.
