It's a bank holiday weekend
The weather is looking good this morning
I have a book to finish
And an important birthday to celebrate with a family member
There might also be a bit of bird watching or steam train riding to fit in
Blogging may be light

Enjoy the weekend Richard!
Yes, enjoy the weekend. I may well head to Wells-Next-The-Sea (again) and walk along Holkham bay (again), in an orgy of pleasure-over-pain…on Saturday or Sunday.
All work and no play etc etc…

The Sun is shrinking towards the horizon……
Which steam train are you planning to ride?
North Norfolk line, I suspect
One of my favourites
But the birthday guy also likes Bressingnham’s narrow gauge lines, and wants a footplate ride…
Should it be the Black Prince loco, remember that his economic policies were seriously open to question and his extensive use of the Chevauchee in Europe was akin to our modern rentier financial system.

The bank that runs my employer’s payroll are apparently already on holiday… π
Have a good weekend
Being taken to Bressingham is one of my most vivid memories as a child. I should probably take the next generation there before they get too old for small trains.
Enjoy your weekend Richard…..and happy birthday to your son.
