I said I despaired yesterday.

And I remain in despair about what's happening in the USA.

But that's nothing like Norway's crisis.

That could be a cause for despair. But that would be pointless.

Those who believe in democracy and social justice will grieve for those in Norway and those lost there.

But our resolve to fight for that justice, that vision of society we shared, in democracy itself, has to be redoubled.

The vision is too important to be closed by those whose mission is based on hate.
