That is amazing Richard – predictably depressing that Worstall and the ASI are 2 and 3 but great that you are at number 1. Also good to see Duncan Weldon at number 7!
Well done! And well deserved.
What was the methodology used for this?
@Anon
Not a clue. Look at Wikio site – but they’re acknowledged leaders in this – that I do know
“Rankling”? Is Wikio knowingly giving out rankle ratings? Its certainly an interesting idea. But let’s take it as an excited typo and say well done, fully deserved.
Good for you, Richard. Take the weekend off as a reward 😉
@James Alexander
It wouldn’t be real without a typo, would it?
Corrected now!
Thanks
@Ivan Horrocks
What? Impossible!
Actually I take almost every weekend off – honest!
And tomorrow 4 chickens arrive at Tax Research UK HQ so there’s a bit of a diversion going on
Well done Richard and good luck with the chickens.
Congratulations
Sorry Richard but your ‘bette noir’ Tim Worstall has overtaken you. Fun while it lasted! http://www.wikio.co.uk/blogs/top/economy
@Mike Hitch
No that was last month – the data I quoted was their new stuff – sent to me today
I’ve overtaken him in the new listing
Sorry to disappoint you
Congratulations!
Congratualtions, however, like Howard it is depressing to see the blogs at 2 and 3.
Brilliant stuff Richard
Well deserved!
Most encouraging all round. The demand for Tax Research is obviously there. Congratulations on the excellent supply!
Much as he’d like to, Worstall can’t keep a good man down; I bet he’s fuming, quietly or otherwise! Thank you for the constant education.
Congratulations, you deserve it.
Well deserved, Richard!
A few years ago it was a desperate search for economics blogs that emphasised the power of that knowledge to alleviate poverty and suffering rather than enrich already wealthy and powerful elites.
Yourself and blogs from others such as Duncan Weldon do a fantastic job of that and without wishing to ramp up the hyperbole reaffirm faith in a common humanity.
#2 on the list provides links to this site virtually every day, so how much of that traffic can be attributed to him? Given your reaction to comments you are receiving, I suggest the answer may well be ‘substantial’.
Given there are virtually no links in the opposite direction, his ranking cannot be attributed to this site, but it is unlikely the reverse is true.
You must be getting 61579 hits a day and going full steam.
@Adrian
The answer is ‘almost insignificant’ – which means ‘some’ but ‘very little’
And I see no reason to send traffic in the direction of abuse, pedantry and erroneous economics
Well done Richard, it’s good to see someone who knows what they are talking about and who isn’t a staunch Right-winger with no heart true economics isn’t all numbers and money.
