It’s extraordinary, isn’t it, when the major cabinet opponent to George Osborne appears to be Iain Duncan Smith.
He was a useless Tory leader.
But maybe there was more metal to him than met the eye.
Don’t get me wrong — I’m no fan. But he’s proving to have more going for him than any Lib Dem. And they should be ashamed about that.

I think that IDS looking like the liberal wet, tells us all we need to know about Osborne. Funny that in the television debates Osborne looked so out of his depth, and yet given the power, he behaves with a single-minded ruthlessness, which is so brilliantly characterised by Martin Rowson in the Guardian. I fear that Mr Gideon would be characterised by mental health professionals as being on the psychopathic spectrum. How else to explain wanting to take 2.5 billion from the disabled and long term sick.
whatever the rights and wrongs, am I the only one who gets a sniff of anti-semitism from the references to “Gideon”? I know its his name but people didn’t pointedly refer to Anthony Blair when he was PM. And its not as if there isn’t enough to argue about without the distraction of his name.
