To continue this series, which began when I, amongst many others, noted just how many secrecy jurisdictions are participating in the Olympics, today is the turn of the USA. When the Tax Justice Network first named the USA as a tax haven they were none too pleased, and still aren't, but the facts speak for themselves. There is massive secrecy in US corporations - and no doubt corruption too. They deserve their place in the medal rankings of the the Financial Secrecy Index.

The Isle of Man is well represented in the Olympic Games via Team GB. Most noticeably by Mark Cavendish and Peter Kennaugh in cycling. The lads done good and each brought home a Gold medal. Isle of Man sport has generally flourished this past decade or two.
Thank you UK for giving so much money in extra VAT repayments (equivalent of £2-3 million each week?) over this period so that the Isle of Man can spend more time doing stuff like sports.
