Writing posts for this blog is something that I just do pretty much every day, 365 days a year.
I wake up, review what has happened overnight or during the previous day, and decide on things to write about to post, because that is the way in which I frame my own understanding of the world around me.
I can offer no better explanation for what I do than that, excepting the fact that since I was very young. I have been completely fascinated with the process of turning words into sentences, and then into paragraphs, and so into pieces I could only dream of publishing way back then, but which the internet now lets me do with ease.
This morning, I realise that I am both very tired and have many other things to do during the day. So, taking a lesson from Paul Krugman, Heather Cox Richardson, and others who are also in the habit of posting daily, this post is here to pretty much record that, the video and quantum post apart, both of which were ready by last night, not a lot is going to happen here today.
I do, however, suspect that 24 hours off will rejuvenate me and that there will be posts tomorrow. Charlie Kirk, Peter Mandelson, Morgan McSweeney, mirrors in quantum economics; there is much to think about, but tomorrow will have to do. C'est la vie, as the French put it, more elegantly and with greater intonation than we ever will in English.

Good for you.
EYRFTGW!
(Y=Your, F=From…)
Go do some birdwatching and have some fun! 🙂
I’ve been having fun watching the HUGE flock of sparrows gobbling sunflower hearts out of the feeders. Goldfinches too, but not as many of them at present. They disappeared for a while a few weeks back, I don’t know why – moulting time?
Those birds will eat us out of hearth and home! 😉
But you are enjoying it.
et – n’oublie pas de vivre! — peut-être de l’air frais et de la liberté aujourd’hui?
Oui, Madam!
And you are now reaching the limits of my French, in which I have never had a lesson in my life.
“Madame” perhaps?
Indeed….that was autocorrect
Je me demande ce qui se passe quand on ne comprend pas le français!? I can translate if you wish but — nothing offensive! however, possibly in our native tongue, you and the lady J need to meet up with me @ Snape Maltings next year for c’est la vie – if you ask – I can translate – but I would welcome you both, if possible, at Snape Maltings in 2006 – I feel sure that they will welcome your input on the future of that area — it is a ‘must’ on the Suffolk coast – et al.
Let’s see!
quoi?! – forget the rest of the word limit!
finale – tant pis!
🙂
A well deserved day of rejuvenation but I bet you have withdrawal symptoms by the morning! Be careful you don’t develop blogitus!
🙂
A whole new series has been thought up….
Feet up ..get a cigar..brandy….some sweeties…have a mini break down…we’ll all
still be here …lucky you!
That’s not me!
Richard, we need you to look after yourself. You are the antidote to the madness, ignorance and arrogance that bombarded us with patent untruth. I reckon you’re equivalent to 25mg Sertraline daily.
My wife is amused, as a retired GP.
And she suggests avoiding sertraline.
¿Have you ever heard Sinatra sing “That’s Life”?
I have
But said better in French
I too just took a day off.. now back to it. It looks like you trained Chat GPT pretty well..
Don’t you go changing, well in spirit anyway.
The videos are educational Richard and they have longevity. I found your youtube channel a few months ago and it has lit up my understanding of how the UK economy works. Enjoy your Sunday sir.
Thank you
Sometimes,a break is needed whether It is to recharge the batteries, remind yourself of those small pleasures in life such as seeing the sun appear over the horizon in the morning or just to get away from the news for a while.
Hope you feel better for it.
Craig
I am.
