Many will think of 3 September as the anniversary of the UK declaring war on Germany and rightly so. I do. The grandfather who gave me my name died serving in that war.
It also happens to be the anniversary of the day I started with Peat Marwick Mitchell & Co (now KPMG) in London in 1979.
I celebrate 30 years in the profession today.
I’m not sure it is reciprocating.
