Every now and again someone reports something correctly: this one is true.
For the record, Channel TV asked me to comment on what I thought Jeremy Corbyn thought of tax havens. I guessed (and said I guessed) he agreed with Labour Party policy which has always been pretty tough on this issue. I then threw in a compliment for progress under the last government. And then added my own usual narrative. The picture pretty much says it all.

What’s “well and truly within the law”? You’re either abdiding by the law, or you’re not.
In marginal areas it is up to the courts to decide one way or another.
This has been debated here endlessly
The position is obvious to all but those not willing to see

The problem of Tax Havens need to be more discussed.
I don’t have a problem with the Channel Islanders, Gibraltarians, Manx people, Falkland Islanders etc wanting to be British. That’s fair enough. But, they should understand that being British is more than toasting the Queen at official banquets, drinking warm beer and using the pound.
It’s about paying income tax at 45% and VAT at 20% too. They should pay taxes at the same rate as everyone else. If they want MPs in the Commons then we can arrange something, I’m sure. That should be the deal!

I am not going to go into the good or bad about the so called ‘Tax Haven’, I would just like to correct PeterMartin2001, The Manx are not British nor do they want to be British. The Isle of Man was sold to the British Crown with out any consultation with the Manx. The Manx Passport is not a British Isles passport, it is a British Islands Isle of Man Passport. The Queen is not the Queen of the Isle of Man she is the Lord of Man. And as many will know from the many arguments over the Scottish Pound pre-referendum the Manx have their own money, which is not accepted in the UK.
The VAT rate is the same, we are not part of the EU the only link is as an associate member because the Isle of Man is a Crown Dependency and if the UK Gov go for a referendum over the EU the Manx do not get a vote. We do not need or want an MP in the Commons we have our own Parliament which is older than the UK Parliament.
