Methodists wil be targeting Cadbury in Bournville this weekend

Posted on

I've just get a mail from the Methodist Tax Justice Network saying:

We will be protesting outside Cadbury World in Bournville from 10:30-11:30am this Saturday (29th).

We will be meeting outside St. Francis Church on Linden Road (B30 1JT) and then protesting by the large Cadbury world sign. Some placards will be provided, but feel free to make your own! We will also be printing out a brief informative leaflet for passers by. [Copy below]

This protest will coincide with the Bournville Village Trust Festival, so there will be people there to see us! Furthermore, a letter will be sent to the Cadburys management by the Chair of the Birmingham District, Bill Anderson - through a combination of pressure and dialogue, we hope that Cadburys will promise to return to their Quaker roots and be open, honest and trustworthy in their business practices.

Good luck, I say.
