Polly Toynbee hit a nail on the head rather well this morning, saying:
Cough drops won't do when chemotherapy is required. Similarly, Labour's five small pledges don't begin to match the magnitude of its own analysis of the state of Britain.
That has to change this autumn. Waiting for the ConDems to implode is no longer enough: alternatives are needed.
