About to watch the film now, Richard, but I thought I’d add a brief note of relevance first. This week I had to have minor surgery. It was carried out at an ‘NHS Treatment Centre’ run by Nations HealthCare. I’d previously attended this Centre earlier this year. However, on this occasion I noted that notices announcing that the Treatment Centre can now deal with private patients were prominently displayed. One of the ‘benefits’ to be enjoyed, I noted, was a ‘discrete lounge’ where patients (sorry, customers) could wait. No mixing with the plebs in the new world of the NHS then!
That’s the new NHS – which is just a logo by the end of the year with no meaning at all
