The forecast is very clear. We are facing a Tory / Reform fascist government. And this is despite the atrociousness in Iran, which these people support.
Keir Starmer will be able ot retire knowing he has fulfilled his mission of destroying Labour and delivering fascism in this country.

These compare quite well with YouGov results from 31 March: Green 19, Ref 23, Con 19, Lab 18, LibDem 12. Worrying, but 3 years until a General Election, Starmer/Reeves might fall, Reform have been losing support and the Greens continue to gain support. Work to be done, straws to clutch.
I thought that would happen.
Politically this is very important and frightening.
But make no mistake: all you are looking at in the Tory and Reform graphs is a death cult. I pity them more than anything else.
We can only hope tactical voting mitigates this, ideally by delivering many more Green and LibDem MPs. A Labour wipeout is to be welcomed though.
I came across this guy on YouTube discussing the All Party Parliamentary Group pressing for a consultation on voting reform in time for a new voting system for the next election. I have written to my MP asking him if he supports it. And I’ve signed the parliament petition in the links. It’s only at 1,952 at the moment and I think it needs10,000 to force a debate. I agree with Phil Moorhouse who made the video that there are democratic issues with not having this as a manifesto based change but regardless I think t would be good to get the consultation going. It was a great tragedy that Labour didn’t implement voting system reform when they had their big majority in 1997.

When a parliamentary petition reaches 10,000 the government must respond.
It needs 100,000 to force a debate (of sorts).
Worth trying to bring on some pressure though!

100,000 is quite a lot more!
But yes, worth putting pressure wherever we can.
NewLabour thought they were invincible.
Labour might feel they have more party political incentive this time and more geopolitical risk to address.
Maybe.
Taking action of whatever sort keeps me hopeful.

Blair’s shameful, and unconstitutional, kicking of the Jenkins Report, into the long grass is what led me to resign from the Labour Party after the 2001 GE.
The Jenkins proposals constituted a real move towards PR, but ultimately did not go far enough, and I’m fairly certain would, once introduced, have led to the introduction of STV.
Shelving such a necessary reform was shameful behaviour on Blair’s part, the more so because it was unconstitutional of him to do so.
How so? Because it was a proposal that went to the heart of the concept of suffrage, so that ONLY the electorate could make such a decision – not a Parliament, nor a Party, nor a government, and certainly not one man.
Don’t despair too soon Richard – I saw another report on that poll which said ‘undecided’ by far outstripped any other response. There is a long way to go yet – Greens are on the up and Reform in decline . <p>
If Starmer banned bombing from UK bases it might stop Labour decline – but he wont.
Those that know me would say I’m not one to be particularly optimistic about society in general, but I don’t see this poll as all doom and gloom.
The Greens command the largest overall support of any political party in the country, that must be a positive development. Reform is losing support. the conservative + reform vote is 41% – way too much, but far from a majority. I consider many of those Reform voters as misinformed potential Green voters. Conservatives? I just can’t fathom them right now…
Greens + Labour + Libdems + national parties are around 55-60%. That’s promising, even though I understand that Labour and libdems seem lost at times. These are voters open to the policies we’d all like to see I believe. They just need shaking up a little more.
the growth of the Greens is astonishing. Let’s not forget this. Challenging and difficult times, absolutely. But there is hope. Just need to work twice as hard and not drop put heads.
