I am out birdwatching, although that may not be obvious from the amount of blogging going on.
I am sitting in the window of the cafe at Welney watching what birds there are through the snow and blogging when the snow obliterates the view:
There are around 2,000 pink-footed geese in the distance in that photo, but you will just have to take my word for it. I can't see them in the picture either - but they are out there. So, now you know why I am blogging as well.

Same here – snow on the tops though in Derbyshire, albeit turning to rain and mud.
As regards binos – 10 x 42 or 10 x50 for birding?
I use 8×42. The trade off is weight. I like the balance.
The geese are in the sunlit uplands.
