Last night's near full moon, seen this morning, bathed in the reflection of the sun, which had only just risen:

I love that light brick in the chimney – nice pic.

The diagonal works….which I like. It creates strength in the image.
I just saw it, opened the window, froze (literally) for a moment, found the angle and shot a few.
Excellent photo and very meaningful – keep going like this.
It seems to be giving off Eucharist vibes framed within the past present and future.
The past is represented by the chimney, which I think is a legacy of the Romans trying to keep people warm indoors, maybe is a reminder from the past that although we can use human made ingenuity to protect us from the elements, Rome ultimately fell but the buildings remained.
The present is the moment this shot was taken – the moon lit by the sun just before darkness descends and we rely only on the moonlight.
The future is the lesson from the chimney that if we so choose to build something to protect us all in future, whatever we build has to be in line with nature, as that will ultimately effect conditions indoors and whether we choose to burn something indoors or not which probably isn’t a good idea unless the central heating breaks down.
Perhaps there is a message of some kind of communion among people that could save us in spite of the changing conditions. The moon is prominent in many other religions so this isn’t necessarily about religion, maybe it is about people.
I think I have lost the track of it a bit, and maybe should have only posted the first 2 sentences. But just in case someone can fathom some other kind of meaning I thought I would leave these musings in.
Thanks
A photo of the supermoon by Ely Cathedral was in The Times yesterday.
One paper to which I do not have a sub…
I bought a paper copy for the first time in ages yesterday.
