I was pleased to note this email from the OECD (Organisation for Economic Cooperation and Development) yesterday:
I recently highlighted my own critical role in developing country-by-country reporting in this blog post and video.
People (usually trolls) sometimes ask me what I have achieved in my career. If it were only this, my answer could fairly be 'quite a lot', but there's been much more as well. In terms of direct economic impact, though, this might be the biggest. Every major multinational corporation in the world has been impacted by this idea of mine. I can live with that.

The trolls have a faulty view of success and don’t know their history either.
The Mont Pelerin Society were seen as a bit weird at one time – look at what they went onto do.
What is important is that alternative ideas exist at all. It all starts from that.
That old quote from Shaw about all progress depending on unreasonable men (and women).
Always seems to me to be a good principle to follow!
