If all goes according to plan I will be on the BBC News Channel at 9.45 this morning discussing the Green Party's tax and economic plans.
The last day or two have been busy with the media, even if much has been briefing work. I have been taking to Reuters, Channel 4, the BBC and the FT, amongst others.
Most especially, the Taxing Wealth Report is being noticed.
And tomorrow I start a series of interviews with senior Scottish politicians on economic issues, which they will be sharing. The SNP will be first.

Absolutely the most important point is that there are realistic political and economic alternatives.
The UK is one of the richest countries in the world, even if it doesn’t feel like it because the distribution is so very unequal. We could do so much better.

The interviewer looked a bit surprised at what you had to say.
I imagine she had been given possible comments to make and they didn’t apply as you broadened the discussion beyond the usual cliches.
I knew some of the potential comments from the pre-interview so I just kept going to deliver waht I wanted to say
My wife reckons I did not breathe for 2 minutes
I agree with her!
I wonder if the comment about the ‘taxing wealth report’ would be lost/drowned out with the ‘interruption’ of the breaking news intervention (which you might not have been aware of?)
Glad that you had a platform – just a pity that it seemed so quick / rushed. Would someone who is only exposed to MSM and neoliberal orthodoxy have been able to follow the argument? If it took the interviewer by surprise ……..

Arise Sir Richard! Well deserved, if and when this honour might finally be bestowed on you. I was pleasantly surprised by the BBC interview with you as I had not yet read your heads-up. There is a distinct difference between the breathless urgency of delivering progressive facts and the relaxed ramble of established politicians who only need endlessly drivel on about their unrealistic tax give-away fantasies and attack their opponent’s plans as “no plan”. I am sick of enduring the endless ‘dancing on the head of a pin’; on Friday evening we had a tragic, fully choreographed ‘Ballet on the head of a pin’! We have weeks more of this torment to endure, but I am enjoying the boysterous antics of Sir Ed!
Congratulations, like our departing treasure Caroline Lucas you have mastered the technique of belting though more vital detail in every precious minute on air that appears humanly possible. It is a serious challenge to be able to take the required amount of breath, but with the scarcity and brevity of progressive interviews, this has become a required tallent for both progressive candidates and those with legitimate pragmatic ideas. This morning’s interview was a strong, very positive contribution for the restoration of common sense and a reasonable degree of humanity in our governance; keep up the good work.
