I agree. It is unbelievably frightening how a single individual, so obviously malign and criminally psychopathic, can drag so many otherwise reasonably intelligent people into his orbit and enforce their unquestioning fealty. The human species en-masse seems incapable of organising itself in a way that is not self-destructive. It depresses me to think that we will become extinct sooner than we realise, for that is the logical conclusion.

That this is not obvious to people is both an immediate and long term threat.
Immediate because if people do not wake up Trump and the Fascist lunacy that he will bring with him will be upon us in less than 18 months and as history teaches us about Fascists, things always have to get much, much worse before they are finally defeated.
And a long term threat, because the odds on our species surviving into the 22nd Century will be dramatically lengthened
Good day everyone.
There are some examples (or at least one) of the far right being kicked out of government through elections. This happened in Slovenia almost two years ago. In Spain a coalition has been build to build a firewall (yes I know, rather precariuosly) but still. Let us please not just focus on the enemies let’s see what tools others have used to at least stop them. The UK (this blog is a fairly solid example) has enough potential to succeed there too. Beating the far right on our own grounds is beating Trump as well to a certain extent.
