I have struggled to find an appropriate reaction to yesterday's lame King's Speech, and then realised it was Sunak's leaving note. He has his bags already packed, ready for his next career with Elon Musk.

With Clegg going native with Facebook, I can see Sunak doing something similar – it will be interesting in the coming years tracking where these numptie politicians end up because what it will do is reify who they were working for in the first place – certainly not us for sure.

It is distinctly odd that with Johnson’s renunciation of his American citizenship and Sunak’s giving up of his American Green card two of our most recent Prime Ministers were only prepared to fully commit to the UK when it would have been a major political problem not to have done so.
In Sunak’s case it is very easy to imagine him going back on that decision if that is the way back to making lots of money.
Similarly with Johnson, although it might be complicated by legal and security issues if the truth about his financial dealings and Russian connections ever come to light.
I am sure I read somewhere that when Sunak and family went on a family holiday to California this summer he visited health insurance companies head offices.
