I suppose that we can take a little bit of comfort from this but the Tories are now the party of ‘fuck business’ because they are supported by or populated by a cabal of people who have made their millions and just want to maintain it as well as suffocating those who could make theirs on the back of new technology.
The abuse of power here is like stench that will not go away but it is also extremely stupid and short sighted because it is so self interested.
It’s not Britain that is broken it is its political system, its democracy. We are broken at the top of our hierarchy.
The FT getting annoyed at this situation is amusing!
