I just noticed this had happened:
I think there have been about 2,500 new Twitter followers today because of this morning's thread, which got a good reception:
Maybe the last tweet in that thread resonated:
I am in active discussion with others as to how to achieve this, as it is a project beyond the reach of this blog or me in person, very obviously, but I hope something might happen.
PS This is at 10am on 8 Septemer:
I think that is my first 2.5 million impressions thread.
Thanks for reading this post.

But the planning is happening
It has to get sufficient support to be credible though
Me too.
Possibly awareness raised by your eventual brief appearance, but multiple name checks, yesterday on James O’Brien, LBC.
I was unaware of that
“Accountable democracy”
How do we work out what that looks like? You have previously said that accountable democracy is not the same as being accountable to the people that pay for it. Or the people that use it.
What next? The people of London having more say in the affairs of Scotland by virtue of greater population than the locals do themselves. But in return the people of Scotland get a say in what the people of London may allow.
Er, hang on a mo, this accountable democracy is quite tricky, because you have to decide what things in society should be decided by the demos, and having decided that democratic processes should apply then what level the accountability should operate at, e.g. World, EU, country, nation, regional authority, local authority, or family.
Politely. PR is not hard to understand
Unless you’re a fascist hiding behind a stupid name
I am very interested in a post neoliberal world
things like re-nationalisation of the state assets like energy and banking telephones ect.
Also having tax at point of sale sent to the government are local government.
we could do with having citizens income given every two weekly at a rate of between 15-20 thousand per year to make up for the years of wage devaluation
Catherine Mann from the MPC would like to double bank rates overnight. Quite a CV. Quite an idiot. On Twitter too
One of the daily blogs I read, alongside this blog, is The Turbulent Times. They have had a long ago thought out proposal called the Harrogate Agenda – http://harrogateagenda.org.uk/
It does sound more democratic than our current system, with more local powers, and also suggests that the Prime Minister is directly elected by the people from a selection put forward, and crucially a none-of-the-above option is available so that a new selection can be forced if required. Also, the Prime Minister and their choice of ministers would not be members of parliament – widening the recruitment pool.
Some interesting ideas to mull over.
Thanks
I hope you’re including @TheGreenParty in these talks.
Caroline is aware of the plan
I have no financial resources save for myself and for my own but if there is anything you think I could do count me in.
Good luck by the way.
We may need editors…
Understood.
I would be willing to do anything I can to help.
Thanks
Hi Richard. I seem to have fallen out of your subscription list. I still donate monthly regularly. As I haven’t heard from you for a few weeks I thought you had been ill. Glad to hear I was wrong.
