That's my second year at number 1.
My thanks to the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales.
And good to see the top 4 spaces all go to people who focus in tax - split between the sides of the debate.
PS I should add that when I told one of my sons about this last year hi suggestion was that my makeup routine was not good enough to be a Twitter influencer. Someone needs to keep me grounded.

Why not carry some real influence and get a proper job in accountancy or anything else

Well done and well deserved Richard. I just hope those you’ve influenced carry the influence through into actions.
Ah, that’s the big one
This is great news for progressives, well done. Considering his prodigous output, I often wonder if Richard Murphy ever sleeps!
I promise you I do
I actually take a sleep most lunchtimes to catch up though – which cuts my nighttime requirement
I also tend to be planning the morning’s writing within 5 minutes fo waking….and often less
Congrats Prof. Must be heartening and a early xmas present, to know you aren’t howling into the night like a long wolf 😉
I really can say i’ve ever heard of the other four.
It’s consolation
