i dont think the gers industry see problems with civil servants just deciding what income/expenditure is ‘scottish’ and what is ‘uk’. for example- i dont think anyone (snp included) understand why the treasury said that it would honour uk debt including pensions to date in the event of independence
what response would i get if i submitted this:

I seriously don’t understand why GERS reports are given any credence what so ever. They were introduced by Ian Lang (then secretary of state for Scotland in 1992, by the then Tory government) with the specific propaganda purpose of undermining the fiscal argument for Scottish independence.
GERS is meaningless garbage that has no relevance to how a future independent Scotland would be governed and organised in the real world.
It astounds me that the SNP don’t rubbish them at every opportunity. It’s such an incredibly easy narrative to demolish.
