I admit to enjoying Stephen Colbert's commentary on the US political scene.
I liked this recent clip quite a lot:

Absolutely priceless! Thanks.
Yes I saw that previously on Colbert’s show. Very funny, and I can just picture that stupid author claiming that she was quoted out of context. She wasn’t.
Just brilliant – who’s and where’s our Steven Colbert? We’ve plenty of politicians like that Republican
Don’t think my previous reply succeeded. So much for my experiment in trying to post a smilie. Maybe because it was an animated one is why I didn’t succeed?
No matter, I’ll just copy & paste my previous reply minus the bb code (don’t even know what that is) for the smilie. Pity, as it was an ace smilie.
C & P:
Nice one!
@ Robin Stafford: Johnathan Pie can be very good too when on form. He’s got loads of stuff on Utube.
Bit of an experiment going on here. To wit; can I succeed in posting a smilie thing? Only one way to find out.
I wasn’t aware smiles get treated as spam
Sorry!
I sometimes enjoy Jonathan Pie
But sometimes he leaves me cold too
I find Jonathan Pie is at his best when it’s just him, his rant and his off-screen editor/producer in the mix, all set somewhere in London. As soon as props are introduced – be that a child, a studio or even just another location – he seems to go off the boil and he’s not so hard hitting and/or funny.
I don’t think your site does treat similes as spam as others have used them successfully including yourself. I’m a bit of a computer numpty so I obviously did something wrong.
The site I used for my ace smilie has three different codes to use. I used the ubb one for forums. Maybe your site classes as a blog rather than a forum? So I’ll try the hmwotsit code instead, which I’ll post after this one in case that doesn’t work either. I’m now determined to post a similie just because I can’t…. so far!
I’ve just posted something….
That didn’t work. I’ll try the url code one instead, then I’ll give up. Who vants to post a stupid anyway?
The url one didn’t work either…. stupid smilies; who needs ’em!
