The Irish economy: clowns to the left of me, jokers to the right

I was on the radio in Ireland yesterday evening discussing the impact of Trump on its economy and tax policy.

I made clear that Trump was an enormous economic threat but maybe less of a tax threat than many might feel right now. I also made clear Brexit was a bigger threat.

In fact Ireland's position is remarkably well summarised by a 1970s pop song:

And yes, I know that's not Stealer's Wheel, but all their versions seem to be blocked on Youtube
